Here I am in my hometown making merry with the family. We went on a sleigh ride up in Durango, and had a good time enjoying the snow, the company and the scenery. It was beautiful.

I actually am liking the bows on sweaters, head bands, and jewelry, but not GIANT bows a top my head. This craze is all over Etsy. hmmmmm, maybe in a year or so we will all be rockin' ginormous bows.
Here is Jack asleep in our guest bedroom/toy room. He was playing with his cars and shut the door. I thought "meh, he can't hurt anything" About five minutes went by and I didn't hear a thing...welp this is what I found.
and here, I suppose this one doesn't need an explanation. It speaks for itself. {we have successfully gone potty several times-onesies AND twosies!} Sorry, that is all I will say as far as potty training goes.
Not only does he have one of my shoes on, but the other shoe {the one that IS his} is on the wrong foot...
It's 11/11 {ill!} which is mine and Brent's anniversary! 5 years, and I can't believe it.

Alas, Halloween is over but luckily we have more holidays around the corner. We were the 'Peanuts' gang this year for Halloween. Complete with Lucy and Linus Van Pelt, and Charlie Brown...

Yes, yes you do draw Jack...You pull the kitchen chair up to the chalkboard and draw, {which I appreciate} you sometimes draw on the walls, occasionally your drawings make it to your coloring book, and last but not least {that I know of} you draw on your toys/books.
"I draw" is what Jack declares when he wants to draw or when he comes across his own handiwork i.e. on the wall, toys, books etc.
Is it too obvious that I am in love with this kid?! {his daddy or other "mommy" is pretty smitten as well}
No, I don't condone this behavior, he actually got in trouble...
Last weekend we finally hiked to Timp cave. It was like hitting two birds with one stone--we got to see all the pretty fall colors {love Fall} and tour the mysterious cave.
The highlights of the hike was the beautiful scenery, great exercise, fresh air, and good company.
The not-so-hot highlights of the hike was a screaming, squirming, antsy, child in an enclosed, dark and crowded area.
Jack rocked the hike both to and from the cave, but inside the cave was entirely different. I too found myself just as antsy as Jack for the tour to be over. {minus a one year old, I am sure I would have fully appreciated everything, including 'tour guide Dan's' lame banter}
We were asked not to touch anything so of course Jack kept saying "touch" while trying to get his hands on everything. Oh, he also kept saying "cool!" that actually was pretty cute. All in all though, I had a great time. In fact, my entire weekend was pretty awesome--wassail, caramel popcorn, lots of eating out, giant rocking chairs, and Amy. need I say more?
So out of nowhere, I get contacted by KSL's 'Studio 5' They want me {BirdsEye Jewelry} on the show! wowseres, right?! I am so excited and flattered I can hardly stand it... I will be on the show this Thursday, the 24th at 11:00, if you want to watch me hopefully not make a fool of myself. I don't really know what to expect--exactly when my segment will be on, what they will ask, how the set up is arranged, etc. soooo I am nervous to say the least. Brent and I watched a 'Flight of the Conchords' episode the other night and it totally rekindled my love for the Bret and Jermaine. They are so hilarious and witty. All in all they just put me in a good mood. Soooooo I thought I'd share the love........enjoy! oh the dove part is the best! ****thanks to good ole Heather and Kevin, us Carters have become major fans of 'Flight of the Conchords'!****
My parents wanted to see this particular picture of my father next to sweet little Atticus, (my nephew) to compare similarities. This is the best picture I could find, seeing I don't have any pictures of Atticus AND Meshan hasn't updated her blog in years.
My opinion is they look very similar especially through the mouth. either way both are adorable...(I could really use an update, Meshan!)
So I am currently working on some new jewelry, totally different than my other stuff. (though I am still pumping it out)

Here is a little recap of Doug and Jen's wedding this past weekend. Now I realize there aren't many pictures of the happy couple, but trust me, they have enough. The photographer was so picture happy that they weren't around much. I am excited to see all of them soon! (maybe when Jen gets her own blog. wink, wink)
Jen looked gorgeous, and Doug of course looked handsome...they are adorable. I loved Jen's hair, the flowers, and my two bald boys. I sure had fun!
